Cookie policy

Héra Holding S.p.a., with head offices in Milan in via Conservatorio no. 15, hereby informs all Users that this website uses technical cookies for the purpose of ensuring the correct functioning of the procedures and in order to improve User experience of the online applications. The following provides information on the use and management by the Site of cookies and similar technologies.

Definitions

Cookies are small text files that sites visited by users send to their terminals, where they are stored for subsequent re-transmission back to the same sites on the user’s next visit. So-called “third-party” cookies are created by a different website to the one the user is currently visiting. This is because every site may contain elements (images, maps, sound, specific links to web pages on other domains, etc.) residing on different servers to that of the site visited.

Types of cookies

There are different types of cookies with different characteristics and uses. These are:

  • Technical cookies. Technical cookies are cookies used exclusively to “enable a communication to be transmitted on an electronic communication network, or, to the extent only strictly necessary, to enable an information provider to supply a service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user ” (cf. Recital 122, para 1, of the GDPR). Technical cookies are not used for other purposes and are normally installed directly by the Data Controller or website manager. They may be divided into navigation or session cookies that ensure normal navigation and use of the website; cookie analytics are similar to technical cookies when used directly by the site manager to collect aggregate information on the number of users and how they visit the site in question; functionality cookies allow the user to navigate on the basis of a series of selected criteria designed to improve the service provided. The installation of these cookies does not require prior consent by users, although the website manager is under the obligation, pursuant to Art. 13 of the GDPR, to inform the user, in the manner considered most appropriate, that said devices are used.
  • Profiling cookies. Profiling cookies are used to create user profiles in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences indicated by the user when navigating the network. In light of the particularly invasive nature such devices may have on the user’s private sphere, European and Italian law require that the user be adequately informed of the use of profiling cookies and be asked to provide his/her consent to such use.

This website does not use profiling cookies.

Google Analytics

The website also includes components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web-traffic analysis service provided by Google Inc. (hereinafter “Google”). These cookies are used exclusively to monitor and improve the website service performance. For further information, please go to the following website address:

The User may selectively disable the Google Analytics function. To disable Google Analytics, please click on the following link:

Duration of cookies

Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until closure of the browser or until the logout command is activated. Other cookies “survive” after the browser is closed and are available also on subsequent visits by the user to the website. These cookies are called persistent cookies and their duration is fixed by the server when they are created. In some cases, an expiry date is fixed, while in other cases, the duration is unlimited.

Cookie management

The User may decide whether to accept or deny cookies using his/her browser settings.
N.B.: Total or partial disabling of technical cookies may jeopardize optimal use of the Site.
Disabling “third-party” cookies in no way impedes website navigation. Settings may be specifically defined for the different sites and web applications. Furthermore, browsers allow different settings for “proprietary” and “third-party” cookies. For example, Firefox allows access to a control panel (through the Tools->Options->Privacy menu) where the User can indicate whether he/she accepts or denies the use of the different types of cookie, and proceed, if desired, to remove them.
